Esther González

          Esther González, a forward from Huéscar, Spain, wears #9 for Gotham FC. She joined the club in August 2023 after a standout run at Real Madrid, where she was the all-time leading goal scorer. On the global stage, González has scored 26 goals in her 42 appearances for the Spanish national team and captained Spain in two matches during the 2023 World Cup. 

          Gotham FC fans were thrilled at her arrival, and the club marked the occasion with a clever promotion: offering 9% off tickets for two upcoming matches to celebrate the team’s new number 9. The excitement has proven well deserved, as González recently scored her 15th goal for the club, tying Kelly O’Hara for fourth on the Gotham’s all-time scoring list. With more matches ahead, keep an eye out for González as she climbs to the top of the goal-scoring chart!
